My tin man club puts on a show every year in December. For Heaven Knows how long, we have run a "Hordes of The Things" (HoTT) tournament (A simplistic fantasy game). One year, we actually got six entrants. Year before last, we tried a "SAGA" tournament as well (No - not the over 60's organisation - the dark ages skirmish game). We got zero entrants.
I am trying to persuade our President we should ditch the HoTT tournament and some of the so-called demo/participation games (Who toil not, neither do they spin), and go for a "Tanks" tournament instead.
Has anyone tried running such a tournament? And if so, any suggestions how to go about it (i.e. Do I divvy up my FoW tank companies, or let players bring their own?
All comments welcome. Failing all else, I have in mind sitting in a quiet corner by myself, and luring the unwary into one-to-one games, in the hope of wetting their appetites for a proper tournament next year.

Hi
We are going to manage our first Tank-Tournament in a few weeks. We completely use the X-Wing Tournament rules (100 Points, 75 minutes, 4 houses & 2 forests from the core (players place it like the 6 obstacles in X-Wing) and so on). So we do exactly the same but with Tanks |

My friend and I are running a Tanks participation game at Hammerhead in Newark in a couple of weeks. I'll let you know, after the fact, how it went.
