Have a broad knowledge of WW2 but don't know much about the tanks and looking at a tank I couldn't tell you what it was. Can pretty much identify a Sherman and that's about it.

So any of you tank buffs out there recommend a book or two to educate me?

This can be a pretty decent starting point.

If you're looking for actual physical books you can check out maybe the Osprey series? They're great entry-level/bite-sized books. Not sure where you could find them except Amazon, I've seen them very rarely in bookstores.
