Hi

I am just wondering if I have been playing the american gungho special rule correctly. Sherman 75mm moves 2 but only gets 1 defence die when shot at, moves 1 so no defence die (how we played). Is this correct as it seems to penalise the US when all other special rules are benefits.

Or is it that when the sherman moves 2 and fires, the defender only gets 1 defence die instead of 2.(i hope this is the way).

Thanks in advance

That is correct.

Gung Ho
Treat this tank as making one less Move
than shown on its Speed token when
calculating its target’s Defence dice.

Hi.

So, because of Gung Ho rule, a US tank that moves 1 shoots as stationary, doesn't it?

Thank you in advance.

A US tank of moves once is not stationary.

Here is the full rule found on page 14 of the rulebook,

Treat this tank as making one less move than shown on its speed token when calculating its targets defence dice.

It's not that the tank counts as moving one less for shooting, so in short the rule only affects the calculating of defence dice.

Gung-ho rule effects the number of defence dice your opponent gets to roll when you shoot at them.. If you move 2 this would normally grant your opponent an extra 2 defence dice however the gung-ho rule let's you count as moving 1 less for the defence dice calculation so you would only grant your enemy 1 defence dice for a movement of 2 or 0 defence dice for a movement of 1
