Hi,

we are working ourselves trough the north african campaign.
What we currently find missing is the early US TD the fantastic M3 75mm.
At the moment we are using the Priest stats for it but that seem a bit out of place.
Any ideas as to how to properly represent itin the game of tanks?

Cheers,

B

How about something like 4-4-0-2 or 4-4-0-3....9 or 10 points respectively? Key words would be Gung-Ho, Assaukt Gun, Cautious and Wheeled (half track isn’t much better in mobility, especially a heavily loaded one). Although these vehicles would give useful indirect fire at times, I would hesitate to give them the artillery keyword. I would reserve that for the T30 halftrack with 75mm howitzer or the T19 with 105mm howitzer.

Hi,

Thanks that is usefull info.
We did the 4-4-0-2 stats and wheeled aswell (at 11pts).
But they died like flies to a pz3 swarm.

Well they were called purple hart boxes :).
Still I like it, makes you think really hard over your movement fase.

Artillery rule made them better (priest set up, they lived much longer) but then they were hardly used as TD's should be according to doctrine.

Cheers,

B
