Beasts of war have released an update on whats to come including some very interesting previews of the OP kits including guns and Rommel. http://www.beastsofwar.c...g-expansions-gale-force/Also during the FoW bootcamp, a couple of guys were play testing the new tanks and some of the stats can be seen for the panzer 3 & 4

Why is my wallet hiding in the corner and sobbing? It should be pleased that I will be paying it so much attention soon.

With only 3 shots against 4 HP and some defence dice there might not be the carnage that happens in the Late War version. Could take a lot longer to kill a tank. |

A few thoughts:
Interested to see the half-track that comes with a pre-installed commander. Neat idea for a bit of flavor, though perhaps disappointing in that it means less options.
All of the new terrain looks interesting. Curious how the low walls will work/how well they'll punch out of the board.
Artillery seems like it'll be fairly balanced (maybe, we'll have to wait and see I guess).
Challenge coins are shown. Question is, did they skip OPS 2 for challenge coins and they're bringing them back? Did some people get challenge coins with 2.3 and some didn't? Is that a mistake that they meant to disclude?
Still really hope I'm getting 2.3 in sometime soon but I'm losing hope. We pretty much can't run it at this point.

Do I understand correctly - we will only be able to get the Desert cardboard terrain in the OP kits?
What about those of us who do not have that option?
Really disappointed. GF9 you have missed a trick. I and many others would have paid for the card terrain pieces.

Isn't that what they've done in the past for the Normandy or Russia OP kits? And then made them available for download, so us mere mortals can make our own? I'm quite happy with that arrangement. Cheers.

Yes they have but I thought the Desert stuff was a bigger release that would have maybe terrain or a new starter kit with it.
I'm increasingly unhappy that the focus with this game seems to be moving too much towards OP players. I see the need for OP but GF9 need to remember their other customers.

Really disappointed. GF9 you have missed a trick. I and many others would have paid for the card terrain pieces. That's the only way to get ANY non-starter terrain. It's always seemed utterly silly to me. Maybe they're not comfortable selling just cardboard, but it's pretty clear their customers are comfortable buying it.

I like the card terrain when I need to travel light. I would have bought that as well as some 3D terrain.

Absolute everyone (privat persons and shops) can order the OP-kits for a few €/USD And there are 5 cardboards in each pack. I have kit 3 - 6, unfortunately kit 1 & 2 are sold out because they are limited. But there are always ways to get it/trade it.
So whats the problem here? |

The problem is that I don't want an OP kit, I want the terrain. Just the terrain.

So buy the OP kit for 14 USD i think, take 1 Cardboard from the 4 in it and sell all oversized cards, acryltokens and the other 4 cardboards or trade it for other cardboards.
Seems to be no problem to me |

I thought OP kits were intended for clubs and stores. Where are you buying them? If you have to rely on someone selling their club or store kit then that isn't really a solution for the bulk of players.

I see a few places have the terrain from the Normandy OP kits up for pre-order so there is hope. Yes, having the pdfs online is great but some of us would rather have nice, commercially produced sheets. GF9 - we want to give you money here - help us out ! :-)
