Brits 1 Comet, 2 Cromwell, 2 Sherman V, 2 Firefly. Fireflys had Ekins in one, Nicholls in the other. British strategy was to close quickly and use Bloodthirsty gunner on Comet and Cromwell, allied with Super Velocity on both Fireflys and the Comet
Germans 2 P IV, 2 Stug, 1 Puma, i PakWagen, 1 Panther, 1 Tiger. Loaded Panther with Radio, LC, Rettmeier, Hasty Loader Tiger had Biermeyer, LC PakWagen had Tungsten and Supercharger.
It was a couple of days ago now so my memory is lacking.
PakWagen ended up supercharging up to stationary fireflys and unleashing a torrent of Tungsten shots into the flank of one, or at least until we saw two 1s :(
Puma had a charmed life , withstanding 6 shots in the rear from a Comet, 2 crits both of which were 0 damage :), it did eventually succumb to a similar shot but it did its job.
My Panther had 1 hit point left but pulled through. Tiger unscratched.
One of the Brit Shermans was clearly an uncomfortable ride as the crew bailed out and didn't want to get back in for 3 turns, by which time it was rather pointless as it was a smoking wreck.
The strategy of closing quickly seemed a good idea but the Germans had their shooting boots on and eradicated the pesky Cromwells.
Fireflys were almost compelled to stay still in the woods to use their heroes to the best shooting advantage but, as we know, that is risky business and so it proved as the Panther and Tiger generally remained stationary and toughed it out. Made easier by the Panther having I11 shooting and a radio to call up the Tiger.
All over by turn 5 or 6, in 2 hours.
No British tanks remained for the loss of only the Puma, PakWagen and a Stug.
A comprehensive Axis victory but hats off to the Brits for trying the close in, Bloodthirsty, Super Velocity theory. Another day that could have worked.

Nice report. Try an Achilles (or two) to out-gun the Germans.
Cheers.
