After xmas his Germans have
3 tigers, 2 panthers, 1 jagd, 6 P iv, 1 stug (315)
8 individual heroes (66)
So half his tanks will have a hero in them apart from him loading up Michael Wittman/Bobby Woll etc

I was in a humongous quandary , go with my favourite Soviets (36 heroes) or US (40 heroes)

Gung Ho nearly swayed me as there's going to be a lot of metal coming my way.

I do have 9 fast tanks so maybe I can deploy and move correctly for a change.

I think I am going to get smashed to bits by his heroes, but one thing is certain, there will be bloodshed by the bucket load.

Well, after 3.5 hours of tankie goodness we ran out of time on Turn 4.
Germans 381 pts - 13 tanks, Russians 379 pts - 15 tanks.

Germans lost a jagdpanther (with bobby woll and another hero), stug, and 3 P IV (one being Franz Bakke)

Russians lost IS85 Turn 1, ISU122 Turn 2, ISU152 turn 4, 1 T34, 1 T34/85 and Maria in her M10. She had a Tiger coming head on so reversed into a wood, but the Tiger had a bead on her and smashed her up BIG time.

Highlights for me were Vasily Krysov charging round at 3 (re roll those 3 defence) and coming out totally unscathed (he never even bothered trying to shoot Vasily - waste of time). I eventually took out the stationary Stug (it's a little s*i* - my mate rolls so well for it),

but best of all was a T34 with 4 hits left being flanked at extreme close range by Kurt Knispel and Michael Wittman in Panthers (their gun barrels were touching the T34). Total and abject fail to cause any hits at all on my brave and yes, lucky, T34 which then legged it as fast as it could but got taken out next turn.

If I had been able to score more than two hits on any dice rolls in the first two turns (15 tanks, around 5 or 6 shots per tank) it might have been different but he saved almost everything (as usual). I blame the special Soviet dice, not the hand that shook them.

In the end he still had 3 tigers, 3 P IV, and 2 panthers. So it was probably best that we ran out of time.

My T34/85s are painted white for my siberian troops, they looked so good and a bit more menacing.

Want another one very soon, but next week is back to the Old World and 4 way Triumph and Treachery 1200 pt WHFB - either Beastmen for fun or Dark Elves (Doomfire Warlocks mmm) if I don't want people to like me.
