Hi everybody.

My son and I got our first starter set (Panther v Sherman) and we are eager to start playing, but we have a (possibly silly) question about tank cards.

1. If I field multiple copies of the same tank (say, two Sherman 75s), do I need to have a separate tank card for each vehicle?

2. If the answer to Q1 is Yes, where can I get the extra cards?

3. If the answer to Q2 is No (so, I only need one card for two Tanks), then:

(a) If I buy an upgrade, does it apply to all the vehicles represented by that tank card?

(b) How do I use one tank card to record the damage for two tanks?

Apologies if the answers should be obvious.

Many thanks

Tede

I think you are supposed to use one card per tank, but I've been looking into bulking up my forces with FoW minister which don't come with cards and someone recommended using just one card, but tracking dame and upgrades on individual tanks.

Hi Tede

Ideally you need one card per tank and each GF9 tank comes with its own tank card when you buy them as separate blisters. Upgrades apply to an individual tank so you can have more than one of the same type of tank, each with different upgrades. That is where you use the little 'badge' tokens in the set to differentiate between tanks that would otherwise look identical.

If you are playing in an official competition then you would definitely need one official card per tank but playing at home you can track damage and upgrades however you like without needing to get more cards.

Enjoy your games :)

There are quite a few different groups playing Tanks around the UK. Maybe there are existing players in your area?

I only use the included damage tokens to keep track of damage, wouldn't use pens on my precious cards no mather.
Perhaps put the upgrades to either side of your, say sherman, card? With included badge token to either side.

We loan each other cards when necessary. and if one of us is short a card or two we're not concerned, just keep the upgrades separate. We track damage now by placing the numbered tokens on the tank instead of on the card. It's easier to visually track the status of each tank.
