Watched Greatest Tank Battles on Quest (uk satellite channel) last night.
Operation Goodwood.
Woppy Radley-Walters was one of the contributors.
Was good to see one of our hero cards in real life. |

If you've about 25 miles in your legs there's a superb walk that goes straight through the Goodwood battlefield. Sword Beach - Hillman strongpoint - Pegasus Bridge - Ranville - Escoville - Emieville - field where the Sherman rammed the Tiger II - Cagny inc. 'site' of Von Luck's phantom 88s - - Bourgebous and ended on the spot where Michael Wittman met his maker during Totalise looking back to where Joe Ekins fired from his Firefly and right in front of the walled compound from where the Sherbrookes ( IMHO) actually did the deed. Hot in the French summer though and I was glad of a bus back and a cold Pelforth !

That sounds brilliant.
Somehow I can't see my wife agreeing to that as, apparently, I already have too many tanks :(
