Yeah, this is just stupid...no interest in removing spam, no interest in updating the front page...

There are two new OP kits out - would never know that from here.

I dunno...having trouble staying interested in a game when the game publishers clearly aren't.

Sure it's a fun game but...there are lots of fun games.

It is a shame, as the game is good. However, in today's tech world, a board game doesn't survive very well without a solid e-community. In this case, wishing a merry Christmas for two months and repeated spam issues really muck up the game's potential. It's tough to understand why a company goes through all the work and expense to market something decent like this, and then doesn't tend to growing the community.

Yeah, I have loved this game since it came out and have collected and painted a large number of15mm tanks as a result. My gaming group has also enjoyed the game. A pity this site isn’t updated....i still don’t have any info on the newest OP kits.

Thank you for taking action against the Cyber-attack levels of automated advertisement that's been gumming up the forums for the past few weeks. In the interest of avoiding similar situations in the future, would it be possible to require email authentication before allowing a profile to post a topic or reply on the forums, or "captcha" prompts when attempting to post multiple times in short succession? Other sites, image boards, and forums utilize these tools to significantly curb the frequency and impact that automated spam can effect a site.

Thanks for bearing with us guys. I absolutely agree that the level of spam we've been hit with is kinda ridiculous.
I've been following up on this and we have, as of the last few minutes or so, activated captcha authentication on new accounts.

A good effort, but you may just want to skip right over to email authentication as well, judging by the results.

At the time of writing this, there have been 94 new spam threads in the span of 17 hours. Captcha authentication for new members is a one-time speed bump that does not cap the allowed number of new threads per hour. Email authentication (requiring a new member to verify they are legitimate by clicking a confirmation link sent to an actual email account) before allowing them the ability to post or comment in the forums is more difficult to defeat, and easier to punish, as you may automatically deny accounts using spam-heavy or exclusive email servers. That used in conjunction with a captcha prompt, if say an account attempts to create a new thread within five minutes of another, could reduce these occurrences drastically, and automatically flag suspicious accounts instead of dreading logging in to find 100 new threads on magic spells to give you a fatter ass or true love in Iran.

Spam is much underrated.

I am now the possessor of an incredibly long gentleman's part, I have millions kindly given to me as a reward from a Nigerian prince for helping him ease his money flow problems while his oil was in embargo and I have a queue of Russian beauties at my door who say that they love me.

Is anyone surprised they didn't send anyone who mentioned it a pdf copy of the correct Achilles as a stop gap solution?
