I took a panther with tungsten shot. I did not move. I rolled double ones. Can I use the ability to reroll all my attack dice since I did not move to try again?

For that matter, could I use a crewman's ability to reroll an attack dice to change a 1 to anything else to avoid having the attack negated?

I suppose its a question of whether the attack fails immediately or after modifiers/reroll.

Tungsten Shot still applies to the re-roll, since that is still part of the same attack.

You only check for the double ones once you have made your re-roll and your final results are fixed.
